We can’t wait to welcome you back, however we have made a few adjustments to the way we operate to keep customers and staff as safe as possible.
Bookings are now available and are highly recommended. Due to the seating plan forced upon us by government guidelines, priority will be given to groups of 4+ guests. Following revised government guidelines, the current maximum table size we can accommodate is 6 guests.
Please note that we are unable to book two tables for guests from the same group to sit next to each other. Increased distance between tables (and the government rule stating that guests must remain seated at their tables) simply mean conversation between tables is impossible, which may present situations where tables break the social distancing rules in place. This could then put us in a difficult situation to keep all other customers and staff safe.
We advise you to arrive in good time before your booking. Please be aware that if you are more than 5 minutes late, your table may be released.
Your table will be reused after 2 hours and we also ask you to leave your table in good time before the next booking, this is in order for us to be able to thoroughly clean down and sanitise the area for the next booking slot.
Bookings are available for tables in the garden, although covered and heated this area is still susceptible to the elements on colder days, while on a hot summer day there is no better place to be! With all tables being booked and allocated in advance please note we will not be able to make changes to move your table indoors on the day if the weather does turn.
We will be operating a one way system, when arriving at The Oak please enter the building via the front door and exit through the rear garden gate. When arriving at the pub we ask that you wait at the front entrance until greeted by a member of staff who will show you to your table. If there is a queue outside then please observe social distancing guidelines while waiting.
Government guidelines now require all guests to register their details to assist with potential contact tracing. On arrival at The Oak a poster will be displayed with a QR code, we kindly ask that all guests scan this code or use the web link provided to fill in our online form which will securely record your details.
As per government guidelines, all areas will now be seated only. All orders must be taken at the table by one of our dedicated waiting staff, at this time customers will not be able to place orders at the bar. Contactless payment is strongly encouraged.
Sanitising stations are placed throughout the premises for both customers and staff. All touch points will be sanitised by staff frequently and every table will be thoroughly cleaned down before a new customer is seated. While all staff will be wearing face masks, customers will not be required to wear masks, as tables are positioned to maintain social distancing at all times.
